Vocational Evaluations for Family Law Cases
With alimony often a major issue in marriage dissolution cases, the ability of one or both parties to earn wages becomes a central issue in establishing who pays and how much. We provide objective, defensible opinions regarding employability and earning capacity. Using the accepted methodology, our comprehensive assessment addresses the vocational issues specific to the case. We assess job opportunities, labor markets, vocational skills, and wage-earning capacities for either or both parties.
Determination of earning capacity depends on the specific case, but usually involves an interview with the individual, labor market research and preparation of a written report. At times, the administration of vocational inventories is indicated.
